Syntax: =OR(1st criteria to test, second criteria to test, third criteria to test,...) and the function will return “TRUE” or “FALSE”.

Use: The OR function is used to determine if more than one criteria is occurring at once. Other similar Microsoft Excel functions include IF and AND.

Example 1:

Benefits: Allows user to test more than one criteria at a time; much easier than multiple imbedded IF statements.
