We used active layering to show various data points on top of one another with toggle buttons to move the graph along the timeline. This business metrics utility is an enormous improvement for the company's analystics on a day-to-day basis and provides an ease of use that was not present before.

This new process was created to streamline a very tedious reporting process and free up hours per week for employees.

Summary:


A large Construction clients of ours had a need for an Excel application which tracked cash flows & expenses against  total budget for large scale projects. We created an applications highlighting the use of Excel Slicers that would allow project managers to easily see all key metrics necessary when tracking a job. Various reports, inputs and outputs are now easily controlled within a central interface. A dynamic backend list setup with cost codes is available for the administrator to update whenever they need. The app also features checks and balances to ensure correct monetary flow throughout a project.

Summary:


A monthly reporting process that once took over 100 cumulative hours now only takes 15 through process automation of a multi-tiered custom Excel solution.  Project Managers and Directors once had to manually collect, cut and paste, format, and submit data to the Executive level where it then had to be organized, updated, formatted, and prepared in presentation form by a VP and staff.  Now, with simple templates for data entry, point and click data importing, an Executive level PowerPoint presentation can be created in minutes saving thousands of dollars every month.

This workbook tab shows all projects and status as reported from Project Managers through their respective Directors.  Data is imported through automated process for use throughout the workbook.






This workbook tab allows Directors that report to the Executive level to provide overview charting and real-time status in bullet form.  Data import is automated from files received from each Director and will be converted to a PowerPoint Presentation.





Once all data is received and imported into the workbook, a PowerPoint Presentation can be created for Executive presentation.  A process that once took over a week and a total of 100 hours can now be accomplished in 15 hours. The data is imported into the workbook and the presentation can be ready in less than a minute after data import.  The 15 hours now required is based on 10 Project Managers filling out and updating  status worksheets on their projects and forwarding them to their Directors.  The 5 Directors are able to now import the data from their Project Managers in less than a minute, update status bullets and forward the data to the Executive level in less than 15 minutes.

Summary:


An older Quatro system was provided to ExcelHelp in order to convert the functionality into the Microsoft Office platform.  This system is used to quote entire steel structures and provides a dynamic user interface allowing for all types of adjustments and complete transparency.



Description & Screenshots



The ESTIMATE screen allows the user to see a detailed report of the steel structure bid.  The Estimate can be personalized and saved separately for later viewing.  Estimate can contain an unlimited number of items and can allow for variations in shipping, labor, quantities, drafting, overhead, and much more.





The ITEM sheet(s) allow the user to build the custom structure from the ground up, piece by piece, bolt by bolt.  This information is transferred to the ESTIMATE sheet for reviewing total project costs and profit.  ITEM sheet(s) allow for unlimited numbers of items.  Highly detailed data is calculated and displayed for the user to ensure the most accurate, detailed, and competitive bid to maximum business and profit.  Item data is looked up via Access database which stores the most up to date size and cost data.





The SUMMARY sheet allows the user to review and print out an order sheet for support staff to build the order and ready it for shipping.

Our client came to us with a need for an application they could distribute to their dealers in order to price custom cabinetry. With all the different types of cabinets, accessories, sizes, and special order requests, it was essential that an easy-to-use automated system be developed. With a moderate budget in mind, we decided that a customized Excel application was the appropriate route to take. This would give Marlor the functionality and versatility they needed without sacrificing usability.

The user has the ability to add cabinets with a functional form which also allows for accessories to be attached to each cabinet. This form calculates sub totals, totals, discounts and due to order amounts.

The sales order screen below is the summary of the order. This excel sheet can actually be uploaded to an Access database that will store all types of client data, order data, and streamline the process of maintaining a general ledger. The combination of the Excel application and Access database will save hours of work and eliminate most errors that would arrise when performing these functions manually.

Summary:


Our client was in need of an Excel application that would allow them to manage requests and approvals in a central repository.  The new system was built purely in Excel without Access tables upon request and is heavily form driven allowing users to quickly update fields in drop-downs, grids and list boxes. Scalability was also important so we created back-end interface that is easily updated by an end user.

Our client would spend hours per month on the accounting aspect of their business and needed a cost-effective method to streamline their process in order to calculate payout to all parties involved.  The report combines PayPal and Google checkout to compute all different types of values such as royalties by developer, net profit and individual product profit.  The application also includes an email extraction utility to save applicable customer emails based on specific criteria.
