Turner needed to quickly develop a temporary staff forecasting and management tool, as an intermediary step between their existing system and a much larger, more expensive resource management system, to provide important staffing data.
ESW studied their current process and made requirements recommendations based upon an existing system as well as a few key business sponsors. The solution engineered was a hybrid Microsoft Excel / Access custom application with simultaneous multi-user functionality. Localized Excel front ends were deployed to staff desktops providing the ability to update multiple sites, projects, resources. In addition to updating, this utility supplied management with all types of analytics including reporting of trends, actual data, future business planning, forecasting models and projection data to compartmentalize and streamline their resource management.

The tool eliminated need to transition to larger more expensive system and save hundreds of staff hours monthly while streamlining a once cumbersome and time consuming process that was prone to manual data entry error issues and an enormous forecasting and reporting gap. System is easily upgradeable due to separate front end and backend platforms. Turner ended up using the tool indefinitely.
